The Warmest May Day in 11 Years
My stomach feels like it's about to burst.
I was originally asked to dog-sit my aunt's new Shiba Inu that dislikes me, but was instead kindly asked to go along to my uncle's birthday dinner at Sheraton on the Park as they only had 7 people for an 8-person deal. ラッキー!
At all-you-can-eat buffets, I usually want to try a bit of everything which is rarely achieved despite my restricted selection and almost always results in indigestion. I was getting funny looks as everyone on the table started with a plate or two of fresh prawns, raw oysters, mussels, etc. and I had half a plate of salad - a mixed lettuce, green asparagus, sundried tomato, croutons and parmesan cheese salad - with some other vegie goodies. I then had a plate of the warm vegetarian dishes, a small bowl of thick and creamy pumpkin soup, and a long break before starting on dessert. Buffets are dangerous I tell ya. Oh but the desserts were so good...
